Drum roll please… Here comes John Schuchmans long awaited, highly anticipated and well deserved 5 star review! I’ve known for awhile that John deserves this review but I wanted to wait until everything was all wrapped up (🤞) with our ongoing real estate drama. I won’t go into all the details of our situation but I will say a few things about how John handled our deal. He is very much a person with integrity, this stands out to me most of all. Yes, he is backed by a real estate team/company but above that he is a good human. John was present during the buying of our new home and the selling of our old home, although the buying of our new home saw some bumps along the way this pales in comparison to what we experienced after the sale of our old home. I am EXTREMELY grateful for Johns guidance, specifically in how he sat us down and walked through each document while buying and selling. We didn’t sign one document that we didn’t understand and I can’t tell how important that turned out to be. I also assumed all Realtors were this way but apparently (based on our interaction with our buyer) they are not. John’s advice was always to be overly honest, disclose everything and be thorough. It seems intuitive right? His persistence made us think everything through and to be very intentional with full disclosure, and this paid off in the end. If you are reading this review because you are looking for a Realtor I strongly recommend John! Although he was relatively new to this profession 1 year ago when we met him, he more than made up for lack of experience with dedication, integrity and kindness. John stood by us even after our deals were done and continued to provide us with sound advice and the support we needed to get through some tough days!

I had worked with John a couple years ago and knew that he became a realtor after he accomplished many goals and advanced in his previous career quickly. When I decided that I wanted to sell my house and buy a new home, I was very confident that reaching out to John was my best bet, and it definitely was. He was on the phone with me the same day I told him about my plan, he advised me on my best options based on my own situation, he was very attentive and quick to respond as soon as I reached out with questions. I felt like I was his only client when I actually found out he was balancing so much more on his plate. I will never forget him answering my call while he was at a baseball game and set up a showing on a house I really wanted to see while he was there. That made me feel like I was his top priority and nothing would slip through the cracks while I was in his care. Whether selling or buying (or both), John is the ONE! Communication 5/5. During this crazy time in real estate, John helped show us many houses. As you know, with the market the way it is, houses are going to pending after only two days, so it is important to schedule showings day one on the market to be able to make offers quickly. John made every effort to make himself available around our schedule anytime we found a house that piqued our interest. The last house we looked at didn’t have our financing listed as being accepted, so John reached out to see if they would be willing to accept USDA. He dropped what he was doing and showed us the house only 2 hrs later. We put in a strong offer. Upon his recommendation, we included a letter to the sellers. Out of seven offers on the table, we made it to the top two offers they were deciding between. The letter made the difference. If you’re looking for a realtor that will help you find and get the right house for you, John is your man. He puts his clients first, and you can trust him to help guide you through this process.

John was a wonderful realtor to work with! He went out of his way to take care of any and all questions and needs I had as I sold my house. He was very quick to answer when I texted or called him. He also has an extensive network of people that he can utilize as well. He had my house under contract within seconds of it being listed. We cannot speak highly enough about the Andy Welk Team through Berkshire Hathaway! This was not an easy journey for our family- the search lasted a year and a half and Andy and John showed us somewhere between 40-50 homes. Over that year and a half, they remained patient, as our wants and desires in our dream home changed. We met John about halfway through our search and he ended up taking the lead on eventually finding and purchasing our forever home! My husband tended to be very demanding and liked to move quickly on new listings and showings. John was always quick to respond to his calls/texts and always made it possible for us to see homes as quickly as possible. He always arrived to our showings before us to prepare the home and was always prepared with all the information needed to answer any questions we had about the home. He was always professional and worked hard to earn our trust. We appreciated his knowledge and guidance through some difficult decisions. He wrote up multiple offers for us and they were always thorough and done in a timely manner. He was in constant contact with the sellers agent and our loan processor to make sure all of the paperwork was completed and all loose ends tied up. On settlement day, John presented our family with the most thoughtful gift- a beautiful plaque for our new home!
