My husband and I had an excellent experience working with John Dean, both to purchase our first house and then to eventually sell it 5 years later when we decided to move out of state. We looked for homes in the Somerville and Medford areas in 2019 when the market was very competitive for buyers. John helped us navigate all of our first-time home buyer questions and showed us a range of properties in neighborhoods we really liked. Once our offer was accepted, he also provided a ton of help with the closing process. As first-time home buyers, we really appreciated how easy the process was. We had such a great experience working with him in 2019 that we decided to enlist his help again when we moved this year. John helped us organize all of the moving parts that go into selling a home and did a phenomenal job with the listing. We only had to host one weekend of open houses before moving on with the sale. We lucked out when we first met John. We were trying to buy our first home in a difficult market in 2018-2019. He was patient with the process, across many offers and scrambles for pre-inspections. He took care of everything and guided us through the process of preparing our home for sale. He made the process as painless as selling your home can be. Speaking for my spouse, my grown children, my sister and myself, I am hard-pressed to find words to adequately praise John Dean and everything he did for us as our realtor. This was the first experience selling a property for me and my immediate family. None of us knew how complicated selling a Boston condo could, and did get. Having such an ally and fighter in our corner as John Dean made us feel confident throughout the whole process, and our lives much calmer. He discovered some hidden problems lurking in the master deed of our HOA which would have come back to legally haunt us, and then he resolved them for us!
