Jeri Wheeler started her career in real estate in 2003 and joined Rêve Realtors in 2019. She has always been enthusiastic about building a sense of community in New Orleans and forming long-term relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime. In fact, most of her clients come from referrals and recommendations.
Says Jeri, “People are my passion, and helping them navigate their way through life is the reason I studied psychology and got into real estate.” After earning a bachelors degree from the University of New Orleans, Jeri spent time traveling all over the U.S. as a stand-up comedian, learning how to gauge an audience, figuring out what makes people tick, and making friends quickly and easily. Of course, fine-tuned people skills like these are valuable in the real estate business, and she now offers clients over 15 years of experience as an agent.
Jeri’s informal style puts clients at ease and endears her to other agents, lenders and vendors. Known as kind, humorous and smart, Jeri loves working with first-time homebuyers as well as those who are more seasoned. She understands the importance of working with the agent on the other side of a deal, and it shows in her negotiating skills. Says one happy client, “Jeri was an immense help to us as the listing agent for our condo. She is exceptional both personally and professionally.”
When not working, Jeri enjoys playing volleyball and her many close friendships. She’s also a long-time active volunteer in the community, organizing annual events and fundraisers for local non-profits.
