Like most people looking for a new home, I began my journey using a realtor that was recommended by a friend. Not a bad realtor, just not possessing the market knowledge or expertise I needed. By chance, I requested information on a home through a general listing and was immediately contacted by Jamie. Although not the listing agent for the property she jumped in instantly! She requested I tell her what I was looking for and then proceeded to pepper me with questions, narrowing down what I was “truly” looking for. I told her I was living out of town at the time, so she suggested I look at several of the sites available online and that we meet the following weekend and tour any that interested me. She also told me that she would be sending me listings as they came available that met my criteria. That first meeting was monumental! We met with Jamie, and although we quickly decided this was not the home, nor were any others we had lined up to see the right one, she spent the time wisely, really getting to know us and what we were looking for in a home! For the next 2 months, Jamie searched the market for a home that met my criteria. When I was not able to get there, she arranged to meet my boyfriend so the 2 of them could tour the home and decide if it was worth me driving over to see. In August, after spending the day touring homes with Jamie, she mentioned there was one more she had wanted to show me that was in a great neighborhood. Unfortunately, she had tried to schedule a showing but was told we had to wait until the open house the next day. She suggested we drive by it and decide if it was something I was interested in. We liked the home; I stayed long enough to go to the open house and called Jamie on my way back. I put a full price offer in that day and the roller coaster ride began with Jamie by my side the whole way. We walked away from the contract, renegotiated, paid for repairs on a home I didn’t own, and even suffered through a hurricane!

Unlike other real estate agents I’ve had in the past, Jamie is a breath of fresh air - not rushing to ask if I want her to write an offer. She actually paid attention to what I was looking for and was quick to point out when a house didn’t meet my criteria. Too many agents in my past experience were only interested in hurrying up to always want to write an offer even when the home is clearly not something I liked. Jamie’s expert real estate knowledge gave me confidence we were headed in the right direction and reassured me that the right house would come along - and it did. She was right on the money too when she told me she would get me the house for price I was offering and was so thrilled when the offer was accepted just as she said! Jamie is a true professional, friendly and has a great sense of humor. I would not hesitate using her again and highly recommend!
