About Douglas

Douglas Clark, happily married for over 40 years and the father of four awesome grown sons! Broker/Associate working at EXIT King Realty in Lakewood Ranch Florida, began his real estate career over 16 years ago. He opened EXIT Sunset Realty in June of 2013 with six agents, and it grew in the first year to over 20 agents as of October of 2014! In 2018, Doug decided to get back into sales full time and sold his brokerage to new ownership! Doug has a luxury home marketing designation and loves to "coach" his clients and has taken his passion for coaching competitive sports and has transitioned that winning coaching practice into the negotiating arena, as well as guiding and mentoring fellow agents, bringing them to the top of their game! Doug has worked in sales and and served the community as the founder of the Braden River Soccer Club and a small business owner for more than 18 years including the automotive field until he sold his business in 2008 and moved his focus to full time real estate. After a few years of strictly sales, Doug moved into a position as a productivity Coach and was able to get the best from the new agents coming into the brokerage. Due to his competitive nature, he decided to become a broker, made his own EXIT and has brought mentoring skills and the drive for winning to his brokerage. Doug and his team are members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Florida Association of REALTORS®, and the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee counties (RASM.) Doug is certified in Short Sale Mastery and a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing (ILHM).

Couldn't ask for More

Doug was professional beginning to end. He gave advice every time it was needed. I felt like he always had our best interest in mind. He listened well and helped us secure a wonderful home. If we get another property here in the area, there is no way we'd use another realtor.

From realtor to friend

I first met Doug in 2012 when I was new to the area. Doug took the time to get to know me and my wife. He helped us discover what we wanted in a home and made sure we got it. Then, in 2023, my family and I needed to move and Doug was the only person we trusted enough to get us through it. Over the years Doug has been a good friend and he will certainly be missed. I wish we could take him with us! 😉

We’ve been neighbors for years and when it was time to sell, we knew Douglas was the man to see.

Although we had an idea of how much we wanted to list our home for, Douglas did a market analysis and agreed with our figure. He helped me move one of my vehicles to our new home in Deltona. He even cut the lawn before the new owners moved. I would definitely recommend Douglas and Exit Realty to anyone looking to sell or buy a home.
