Then we got the orginal house listed and sold. There was only one showing and we got 3 offers all above the listing price. The house was sold within a week. Chris first helped us buy a new house for our growing family which we love!! Then came the task of selling our condo… The market was changing quickly with interest rates rising, and we were worried that it would sit on the market or that we wouldn’t be able to sell it for a good price. Despite the "hot" seller's market, actually getting my townhome sold proved to be more of a challenge than either my agent or I expected. Units very similar to mine sold for considerably more. Mine sold for $5000 less than asking. Was my price point influenced by people's fear of raising interest rates and the start of a cooling market? Should I have been more patient and kept it on the market longer? Did I list during a slow time in summer? Should I have repainted and put down fresh carpeting? Would it have been helpful to have an Open House for local agents to network and to promote my home? I suspect that all of these points are true to a degree. I didn't feel the process of 72 Sold worked to my advantage. Waiting a week or so before my listing hit MLS might have been valuable time lost. I couldn't give an honest review without sharing my disappointment with my sales price. Having said that, I still have to praise my agent, Chris Bremner. He responded to my questions immediately. I heard from Chris several times a day, and he ultimately had to sell my home TWICE! He worked hard for his commission. He was enthusiastic and encouraging, and is knowledgeable about the local housing market in Eden Prairie. I think a good realtor just doesn't sell properties, they sell themselves. Chris has a great attitude and is an authentic and enthusiastic person who inspired my trust almost immediately. A year ago, I couldn't have imagined selling my home for the the price for which it untimely sold. I remind myself of that. I also look at the lovely home Chris helped me purchase. In the end, that is what really matters. Chris helped me accomplish my goal, and I am very grateful.
