Michael McTigue’s Bio Michael has been in Real Estate since 2015 and joined the RE/MAX Orange Beach team in 2021. Drawing from 19 years of experience as an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager for both national wire-houses and regional independents, i.e. Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, Michael understands that buying and selling a home is one of the biggest decisions a client will make in their lifetime. As a realtor he views guiding his clients through this process as a true privilege, and treating customers like family is both a guiding principle and a way of life for him. Michael provides homebuyers and sellers with professional, responsive, and attentive real estate services. When not working as a Realtor for RE/MAX Orange Beach, Michael serves as a Law Enforcement Chaplain for the Baldwin County Alabama Sheriff’s Department. He is a past member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains, and a certified member of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Critical Incident Debrief Team; he is trained to support first responders throughout the South who have been involved in critical incidents such as a police officer line of duty death, officer-involved-shootings, suicide, or critical incidents involving children. Michael served 6 years in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist providing Command and Control functions related to Anti-Surface, Anti-Air, and Anti-Submarine Warfare. He held a Secret Clearance. Michael has been married for the past 43 years to his wife Stephanie, has 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. He attends and serves at Calvary Chapel Fellowship in Foley, Alabama.

We knew she was the right person for the job the day we met her!

We liked that she wasn't pushy, we never got the feeling she was doing it for the money. She actually went above and beyond what she had to. We never felt rushed or that we had to make a decision quickly. Helped us a lot when it was stressful to get everything done. And we were from another state, which made it harder. Also, followed up after the sale. We would use her again for another purchase!

A true pro and detail-oriented!

We relocated to Gulf Shores from out of state. We knew we loved this location, but didn’t know much about the residential areas. Katy was able to suggest a number of potential locations that would be a good fit for us: close to the beach, but in an established owner-occupied neighborhood. Katy was very communicative with us; she made sure to check in about new listings that might be of interest to us, researched each home we viewed and was ready with pertinent information such as flood zone designations, insurance costs, HOA fees etc. Katy was never pushy or impatient with us, although it took us 22 months to find the “right” house! In preparation for closing, Katy meticulously handled all the details: the inspections and repair requests as well as communications with contractors, selling agent, and title company. I can’t say enough positive things about our home-buying experience with Katy!
