Lori is a Flagstaff local which proved advantageous when deciding on which neighborhoods to consider in my home shopping experience. Her knowledge regarding everything from access to local trails, commute times, snow accumulation, and actual home owner's experiences in each neighborhood really helped in narrowing down where I looked for my new home. In addition, Lori's experience in working with local inspectors, lenders, etc. removed some of the headache associated with home buying. I appreciate her ability to pretty much be available anytime to look at a property or just chat on the phone to answer questions. We thought our downtown house search would best be served by a seasoned realtor with decades of experience. We reached out to several such agents and none of them were interested in working with us. Then we turned to David Swain, enthusiastically referred to us by a trusted friend. He may not have the decades of real estate under his belt yet but he was immediately responsive. He was fine with whatever timeline we needed to work with. He helped us narrow down possible neighborhoods and explained flooding issues. To complicate things, we live overseas and were doing all of this remotely and were trusting our agent to view properties on our behalf, as well as help us view them by video. So David had his work cut out for him. He did all of this flawlessly, while also managing his other listings and clients, but we never felt he was pushing us aside. He always answered his phone, always got back to us right away, and always offered to go over the top to meet our needs. Surprising to all of us, the very first house we asked him to visit turned out to be the one we were waiting for. He admitted how unusual that was but once we were sure, he was all in. Further adding to his plate, the listing was a For Sale By Owner. The home was also currently rented to tenants which meant that David had to navigate working with them to schedule inspections, repairs, and repeat visits. All of this he did with grace and professionalism. The home closed on schedule and with all terms of the purchase agreement satisfied by both parties. For us it was a very smooth process. He listens well to his clients, is professional, thorough, and accurate in his work, and also has a keen sense of humor and fun when that is also called for. Flagstaff may be a small town, but I hope that the housing market is big enough to keep David there, because he demonstrated to us that his competence and professionalism will continue to allow him to go far in this profession. We would gladly work with him again.
