When my four siblings (Florida) and I (Ohio) lost our parents, we inherited their house in North Carolina. While we there emptying the house Patti stopped by and introduced herself. She struck me as honest, hard working, and extremely knowledgeable. I was right. She immediately gathered market information for the area, while asking nothing in return, so that we could make an informed decision on how to proceed with selling the house. Five months later we put the house up for sale with Patti as the listing agent. As Executor of the Estate, I was Patti's prime contact. In the time we are in now, where everyone is "experiencing high call volumes and wait times are longer than usual" Patti was always available. Seven days a week, at odd hours to accommodate my schedule, she communicated via phone, text, and email. Since we were out of state, this was critical. She skillfully navigated us through the maze of paperwork and procedures as she fought off the pirates that were trying to steal an estate house for pennies on the dollar. She also did many things above and beyond what I expected a realtor to do. Like locating, and sometimes scheduling, a contractor, home inspector, cleaning crew, exterminator, etc... She frequently visited the house to inspect work done, ensure all was well, and make recommendations on repairs. She listened to my requests, offered advice, but did not try to change our strategy. Rather, she did everything possible to support our wishes. She knew our demands would result in a delay of the sale but never pushed back to try and make a quick sale. She worked with us every step of the way. Her tireless effort, knowledge of the market, strategic mindset, kindness, and sense of humor made an emotionally and logistically difficult situation successful and almost fun.
