I had to relocate from 1000 miles away due to a job change and did some narrowing down of areas I was interested in prior to contacting Shirley and Tom. I had a long phone call with them to talk about our wants and needs in a home, and they did a very good job of listening to what our expectations were, and helped to steer things that could be a letdown (not common in the area, this versus that choices), all in a very open and conversational manner. They gave me access to an online tool to look at houses and comment about them, which was helpful for me to see both what they were thinking as well as me just searching on my own a bit to learn what was truly out there and adjust my expectations. I had put comments on several properties about things I liked or disliked, and this helped steer us to the right neighborhood and house for us. No doubt in my mind is that Shirley and Tom's expertise in knowing the various neighborhoods, builders, and most importantly having relationships with the people is ultimately what helped us get our house. They are the kind people you see on the youtube videos in person. My only disappointment is that we know we won't need a realtor anytime soon as we plan to enjoy our house for a long time, and thanks to them we found it !!
