About Jocelyn

As a young girl, I was interested in run-down homes and would envision what I could do to improve them. I attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. Shortly after, I purchased my first home, which was previously bank-owned. Within two years, I purchased another home. This was a three-family house in need of renovations. I worked on many renovations myself. It was at this time that I realized that real estate was one of my main interests. I held positions in sales and management while my passion for real estate grew. It wasn't until several years later, after a few more sales and purchases, that I joined a local real estate company. I decided I had learned a great deal investing in real estate for myself, and I wanted to share my knowledge of real estate investments with others. I attend local house auctions, and I am always keeping my eyes open for homes that carry great value. Since entering the Real Estate Industry in 2002, my career has soared even during these slow economic times due to my hard work and dedication. I have achieved "Broker of the Year" awards and have been awarded for having the "Highest Number of Transactions Sides Sold" for 10 years in a row. These are just a few of the many awards I have earned over the years. I have two Associate Broker/Realtor Assistants, Heather Hanson, who has been licensed for over 20 years, Pauline Flagg, who has been licensed for over 25 years, and Shannon Hanson, Sales Agent, who joined our team in 2024. I merged my team in 2017 with Anne Plummer & Associates, creating Maine Real Estate Choice, one of the strongest real estate companies in the Lakes Region. It is my commitment to share my knowledge, hands-on experience, and integrity with my prospective clients to reach their real estate goals.

I'm always willing to go the extra mile to help buyers and sellers achieve their dreams. Having customers for life while offering superior service has always been my goal. I started selling real estate in 1988 and quickly became one of the top producing agents in the area, selling everything from mansions to mobiles! Technology, smart marketing, and teaching buyers and sellers the process - these are all the right pieces for a successful and smooth transaction. Being a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region area and being in business for 36 years, it only made sense to build an office on busy Route 302 in 2005 in Naples and fill it with top producing agents. Our company name was Anne Plummer & Associates and in 2017 I partnered with a top producing agent and we changed our company name to Maine Real Estate Choice. With all our experienced agents, we have been the top producing company in the lakes region area! More recently my husband and I have been working on and finished building our forever home in Casco with our golden retriever River and two cats. About Cynthia

I am a lifelong resident of Standish and graduated from local schools. I bought my first home in 1978 and still own it. My many years as a homeowner included a full, gutted to the studs, rehab project. I have worked in most aspects of homebuilding, from mason tending and carpenter’s helper to partnering in the design, construction and sale of a spec house. My degree in Geology from USM allows me to assess a landscape and the movement of water through it. My 28 years in machining and quality assurance have given me a fine appreciation of the importance of correct paperwork. I changed career paths and became a Realtor in January of 2024 because I needed more personal satisfaction in my work life. I decided to turn my lifelong fascination with houses and land into helping people achieve their housing goals as they undergo life’s transitions. Each of the transactions closed since then has shown me the value of this new path for my clients and myself. Currently, my hobbies include gardening, motorcycles, making jewelry and enjoying time with my family.

In 2019 I purchased my first home here in the Lakes Region and instantly fell in love with the area. My interest in real estate piqued during this process after many years of considering a career change from retail to real estate. In 2020 I made the choice to get licensed during maternity leave with my first child. In 2021 I was able to leave my retail career behind me and focus more on what I love. Family is the reason I work so hard. Not just for my family, but for my clients’ families as well. I love getting updates on homes I have sold and seeing happy families making memories. During that time, I earned my Associate’s Degree in Business Administration along with my Associate Broker license in real estate. Today, I proudly serve as a licensed assistant to Jocelyn O’Rourke-Shane, where I combine my extensive administrative experience, organizational skills, attention to detail, and technology expertise to help provide buyers and sellers with a smooth and successful real estate experience. The Lakes Region has been our home for over 20 years. My husband and I raised our family here, loving every minute of time spent on Panther Pond, Sebago Lake and the coast of Southern Maine. We became active in our local schools, Scouting, Rotary and community. There is no place else we would rather live. My career experience includes a variety of roles in Corporate Credit, Medical Sales, working in our town middle school, owning/managing a local motel and owning/managing local vacation rental properties. Highly competent in her performance and a pleasure to deal with through all activities.

Jocelyn was attentive to all details. She understood what was needed and what would lead to success. She took care of most of the paperwork and was prompt in letting me know of any actions I needed to perform.
