Real estate “nerd/guru” is just a term that describes the knowledge and the continued growth that is barrelling her status as one of the Top Realtors in the Washington Metro Area. After leaving the government contracting world and working with some of the top businesses and segments in that area (Lockheed Martin, DHS, DOD, Price Systems, Anser, etc) and earning a name for herself there with awards and accolades, Marlena knew she needed something more that would allow her to help others but challenge herself! Starting off part-time realtor while working full time she worked for a few realtors for free to be able to learn and soak up information that was needed to ensure she would be a better agent than the one that helped her buy her house. She then quickly grew to love the Real Estate world as a whole and decided it was time to take it full throttle. Today, Marelna and her team follow simple rules, educate, serve, and provide value to their clients. Marlena specifically can speak to alot of areas and has experienced every corner of the Washington Metro Area (WMA). From living in Falls Church VA, Herndon VA, Germantown MD, Rockville MD and, DC. She knows all the hottest places in every county/quadrant throughout the three different states that make up the WMA. Coupled with her degree in Finance and her MBA in International Business and Real estate she is a supreme Realtor and Leader bringing not just the functionary role of an agent but the fiduciary responsibility of a Realtor! In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, playing and enriching her son’s life, and enjoying the historic and lively area of WMA. She also reads a book a month, loves to eat (Foodie) and can tell you some of the best restaurants and hidden eateries in the area. Don’t forget to ask Marlena about traveling. She loves to travel and has been to 6 of the 7 continents! After going full time into real estate she began to devote her time and energy into honing in on her craft and knowledge base. She grew 151% year over year the first two years and 200% the following. She was named Top Agent for the past 3 years, Rated 5 stars on Zillow, Realtor.com, and on Google. She received the Peer recognition reward in the industry, attained and remained Century 21 New Millenniums #1 agent for the 2 years she was there earning the Centurion award both years, and attained Washington DC Top 500 and 250 agents. Now Marlena is setting her heights on growing a team of Realtors who know “Real” Real Estate.
