About Josh

Bringing a successful record of 20 years of real estate sales on Maui, Josh Jerman has distinguished himself as both a rising star and industry leader in Hawaii real estate. Raised in Upcountry Maui, Josh attended Baldwin High School before heading to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. There, he graduated cum laude with two bachelor’s degrees, one in International Relations of the Asia-Pacific Region and the other in Comparative Religion. He has traveled the world (23 countries and counting), and has lived in Scotland and Indonesia. He has hiked to Machu Picchu and to Mount Everest’s Base Camp, canoeing the Amazon River and swam in the Ganges, sailed in the South Pacific, trekked in the North Pole and touched the Great Wall of China. Throughout his adventures, Josh developed an appreciation, awareness and respect for all people, an experience that inspired him to give back to his community. Josh returned to Maui to start his career, and over the years, he has earned a solid reputation for professionalism and personal integrity. His hard work and success has not gone unnoticed. Josh has been recognized by Pacific Business News as one of the “Top 40 Under Forty” professionals in the State of Hawai’i. He was also named one of the Maui Weekly’s Unsung Heroes of 2010 for his philanthropic endeavors. Josh was also honored as the recipient of Maui County’s Young Business Person of Year Award for 2012. He has been one of the Top 100 Realtors in the State of Hawai’i from 2013 thru 2022 and was named Realtor Broker of the Year by the Realtors Association of Maui in 2019. Josh’s expertise as a broker extends far beyond the four walls of his office in the Wailea Town Center. He has held numerous positions with the Realtors Association of Maui (RAM) since 2005, including Director-at-Large (6 years) and he currently serves as co-chair of Professional Standards, as well as also serving on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Association of Realtors (HAR). Additionally, Josh is currently Chair of the Realtor Party (HAR) and serves on the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Major Investor Council. Born and raised in San Francisco, I have lived and worked with people from the world over. In college I spent one month in Japan on a travel-study program with San Francisco State University and after graduating from SFSU Summa Cum Laude with a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), I worked at Natividad Medical Center (The Medical Center for Monterey County, CA) on the Surgical Floor. The patients included trauma victims, as well as prisoners from the County Jail, and inmates from Soledad Prison (State of California). A year later, I traveled throughout South America for an entire year. Upon my return to San Francisco, I “migrated” to the East Bay, where I continued my nursing career as a Visiting Nurse providing Home Health Care Services to those recently discharged, from the hospitalized, the frail elderly, and the disabled residing in the City of Oakland, CA. Oakland, CA is where I first became a condo owner and my nursing career expanded to include work in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, as well as home health care settings. It was when I began promoting the value of Home Health Care Services, that I discovered my love for sales, marketing, and contract negotiations. Jai was always responsive to our requests and very easy to work with.

Jai not only sold our condo but also handled the sale of the property we purchased. We were on the mainland for 2 1/2 months while this was going on so Jai not only made sure to be present for our condo showings but also took us on a video tour of the property we bought. He communicated with us to keep us informed and always returned calls quickly when we needed to speak with him. He seemed to have a good rapport with the realtors that represented the buyers/sellers. Jai was friendly yet always professional. He was very knowledgeable about the housing market. I would recommend Jai to anyone looking for a realtor to guide them in buying/selling a property.

My wife and I were first time home buyers with little to no experience in looking for or purchasing a home. We were so blessed to have chosen Leslie as our agent. She was very knowledgeable, polite, professional, and very responsive to our needs and always went the extra mile to address any questions that we had. She traveled to the mainland U.S. to attend her daughter's wedding but still found the time to respond promptly to us when we had questions that popped up along the way. Her years of experience and network of associates in the real estate industry was extremely valuable to us. She was able to make recommendations of other industry professionals that saved us a lot of time and stress by avoiding having to search on our own with the risk of choosing a company that would've had negative issues. Leslie made our first home buying experience a positive one and our family was so fortunate to have her on our team leading each step of the way. I recently sold my condo at Keonekai Villages with Austin MacArthur and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. He helped me every step of the way with recommendations for staging and what to worry about and what not to worry about. Was in the process of relocating to the mainland for work and Austin was able to expertly navigate my Cartus Relocation team that was helping me with my relocation. It is a challenge to work with a company relocation team and Austin handled it seamlessly for me. As I was leaving for the mainland Austin and team had showings before I left and an offer and sold in under 2 months time! I appreciate Austin's attention to detail to the condo and to my needs as I continued my journey back on the mainland. I highly recommended Austin and his team and so grateful for the excellent experience.

Just closed on our dream Maui purchase and couldn't have asked for a better team to help us get it done! When we first met Brad and Austin, we knew without a doubt they were the right guys! Extremely well established, I swear Brad knew about almost every house we drove by! Experience showed and they really shined, including their personalities. It is obvious they are a family that works very well together. They put so much care and time into the entire process. Brad, Tyler and Austin have a very well oiled system of working together and we felt very secure the entire time. No stresses! We highly recommend the MacArthur Team!
