Michael is a native of Indianapolis having grown up on the south side, graduated from Southport High School and attended Butler University. For the first 30 years of his career he worked with several different insurance companies in Indianapolis, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Newport Beach in various underwriting and management positions before launching his real estate career. He is an active member of Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal) where he has served in various leadership roles. Michael was a competitive figure skater and was involved in the sport as a nationally ranked judge for over 35 years. Michael is a full time real estate professional who assists sellers and buyers transition between homes as they progress through the various phases of their lives. Whether purchasing a first home or selling and purchasing a new home, your wants and needs are Michael's first priority. Michael has over $200,000,000 in career sales volume and has assisted over 600 families with their moves. With a 35 year career as a REALTOR®, Michael is prepared to handle any challenge that arises in the purchase or sale of a property. While each transaction can have its own unique challenges, Michael continues to develop his skills and knowledge through continuing education seminars and courses that provide a solid foundation for seeing the transaction through to a successful closing. I have been a full-time broker in the real estate business since 2004. I owned my own franchise office with Weichert, Realtors in Carmel for 10 years. In January 2016, I was fortunate enough to sell my company and merge my team into Carpenter Realtors. I now am the branch manager of the Carpenter Realtors office in Broad Ripple with a team of 25+ successful brokers. In addition to managing the office, I also continue to help my clients buy and sell residential real estate all over the Indianapolis Metro market and surrounding counties. I am happy to help anyone with any kind of residential real estate need. I have personally sold everything from a lot for a few thousand dollars up to estate homes in excess of $2M. Over the years, I have been given the opportunity to help several hundred clients buy and sell millions of dollars in sales. This experience has given me the foundation to continue to grow my business each year with new and existing clients like you! I enjoy using my experience over the past many years in this business to help other agents build a business plan and help them develop action items that will lead to them achieving their goals both personally and professionally. I currently serve on the MIBOR grievance and professional standards committees. I have also served on the Hamilton County economic development committee and MIBOR economic development committee. I am a graduate of the Real Estate Leadership Academy (REAL), as well as a designated ePro and SFR Realtor. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Indiana Association of Realtors and the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. I am a 10 year 5 Star Real Estate Agent award recipient based on customer satisfaction reviews. Proir to my real estate career, I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1988 with a management degree. For many years, I worked in sales and sales management in the software industry traveling most of the Country. I wanted to spend more time at home with my family which led me to a career in real estate. My wife, Sara, and I are celebrating 32 years of marriage and are proud of our 3 children. All 3 graduated from Hamilton Southeastern Schools in Fishers. Our oldest son graduated from IU Bloomington, our daughter graduated from Ball State and is finishing her nursing degree at IU and our youngest son graduated from Ball State. I do indeed work a lot of hours and love it, but, my spare time is spent with my family and our 3 Australian Shepherds. Our family serves and supports many organizations including: St. Lukes Methodist Church, Savior's Serenade, American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, Lampstand Ministries and I have served on the Board of Directors for Gennesaret Free Clinics for many years including the Board Chair in 2024.
