After 9 years of teaching middle school science, I decided to pursue my other passion - real estate. Born and raised in Portage, Indiana to a working class family, I learned what hard work was from an early age. My parents were very dedicated to their jobs and I show that same work ethic. I earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University. In 2010, after college, I moved from Northwest Indiana to the Indianapolis area while my now wife was finishing up pharmacy school at Butler University. During that same period, I earned a Masters in Education from IUPUI.
I have resided in Noblesville since 2012 with my wife, Michelle, and our two children - Carson and Griffin. We love raising our family in this area and enjoy all the amenities Noblesville and the surrounding areas have to offer. In the summer, you can catch us at a baseball field, concert, enjoying one of the local parks, or enjoying Morse Reservoir. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, golfing, barbecuing, and spending time with family and friends.
My name is Maureen Talbott and I am associated with Carpenter Realtors, in the Noblesville office. I want to share with you how, I came to be a real estate agent. I had worked in the health care field, for 38 years, as a Radiologic Technologist, that specialized in Mammography. This was a great career for me, as I love the opportunity to help people thru difficult times. Breast cancer is a very personal subject to myself and my family. After much thought and trepidation, I decided to look into a career, that gave me more flexibility and to be able to see the sun, during the day. I have always been intrigued, by the process of selling and buying homes. I took online classes, while still working full-time, to achieve my real estate license. After completion and passing the Indiana State Board of Realtors exam, I interviewed with Carpenter Realtors and thought we had a great match.
In the 12 years, which I have been working full-time in real estate, I have increased my gross sales, from $3+million to $6+million this year. I work very hard to make smooth transactions, from start to finish. I love working with first time home buyers, as we have children in that same age range. I also love working with people that want to downsize, as my husband and I have done that ourselves.
I cover mainly the Noblesville and Pendleton area, but have done several transactions throughout Hamilton, Madison and Hancock counties. Never let a location, stop you from calling me, about a property.

Extraordinary experience
My overall homebuying experience with Kara was extraordinary!! She was very attentive and made sure to cover all of the details. We looked at quite a few houses and at no point did she ever express any dissatisfaction, or try to make me feel like she had better clients to be dealing with. She remained positive and update throughout our search. She made sure to always have disclosures and general house information emailed to me prior to viewing any home. Her market knowledge was great. If she didnt have the answer to a question, she made sure to get the answer and follow up asap. We looked at houses in a few different areas and she was very knowledgeable about the current market in each area and what sort of homes were in high demand, which was a useful tool to figure out how much competition we were going to have if we were going to submit an offer. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kara. I've worked with a few agents in the past and none of them were as locked in as Kara. I'm not the type to leave a review, but I feel like the word needs to spread that Kara is a valuable asset for anyone that is in the market to buy or sell a home.
