After 9 years of teaching middle school science, I decided to pursue my other passion - real estate. It has always been a dream of mine to help others with one of the biggest purchases of their lives. I know buying or selling a home can be stressful. Born and raised in Portage, Indiana to a working class family, I learned what hard work was from an early age. My parents were very dedicated to their jobs and I show that same work ethic. I earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University. In 2010, after college, I moved from Northwest Indiana to the Indianapolis area while my now wife was finishing up pharmacy school at Butler University. During that same period, I earned a Masters in Education from IUPUI. I have resided in Noblesville since 2012 with my wife, Michelle, and our two children - Carson and Griffin. We love raising our family in this area and enjoy all the amenities Noblesville and the surrounding areas have to offer. I had worked in the health care field, for 38 years, as a Radiologic Technologist, that specialized in Mammography. This was a great career for me, as I love the opportunity to help people thru difficult times. Breast cancer is a very personal subject to myself and my family. After much thought and trepidation, I decided to look into a career, that gave me more flexibility and to be able to see the sun, during the day. I have always been intrigued, by the process of selling and buying homes. I took online classes, while still working full-time, to achieve my real estate license. After completion and passing the Indiana State Board of Realtors exam, I interviewed with Carpenter Realtors and thought we had a great match. In the 12 years, which I have been working full-time in real estate, I have increased my gross sales, from $3+million to $6+million this year. I work very hard to make smooth transactions, from start to finish. I love working with first time home buyers, as we have children in that same age range. I also love working with people that want to downsize, as my husband and I have done that ourselves. I cover mainly the Noblesville and Pendleton area, but have done several transactions throughout Hamilton, Madison and Hancock counties. Kim was absolutely superb to work with!

Kim was extremely helpful guiding us in the sell of my Mother's house. She answered all of our questions and made sure we understood every step of the way. We were impressed with her knowledge on how she knew how to maneuver and stage furniture to get the Best Look. Kim made the process easy and smooth, as this was not easy seeing our childhood home go. Thank you for being so supportive and taking such good care of us!

One of a kind experience and personality. ♥️

Kara was a breath of fresh air. She handled my boyfriend and I with such great care and communication. Other than her personality being so bright and one of a kind, the best part of her being our realtor was the response time to each question we had. It did not matter the hour, she got back to us so fast, or communicated to us when she would be reaching out if it wasn’t immediate (which rarely happened if at all). She made us so comfortable in what could be a scary experience. She was really knowledgeable and my boyfriend and I gained so much of that knowledge through our experience with Kara. Even with how hectic her schedule could be, she made us feel like her only clients. Her work ethic spoke VOLUMES. I could not recommend her fast enough to anyone in the future that would be looking for a realtor. She helped us find our dream home. 🥹♥️ We were able to close on our home earlier than predicted. She didn’t make us feel rushed in our process and she did not try to push a house on us that we were not interested in. She genuinely listened to us on what we wanted in our home and what our deal breakers were. I could not be more grateful for Kara. She, by far, exceeded our expectations. 🥰🫶

Highly professional and down to earth

I met Derrick a while back after I contacted him regarding a listing he had for a home in Central Indiana. That particular one didn't work out and neither did many subsequent listings I inquired about. I had a particular type of property in mind and was at a set amount that I could afford. Derrick took his time with me and helped me eventually find the home that I was looking for all along. It was a much traveled road but with his knowledge, professionalism, personality and kindness we finally got a deal done. I am VERY happy and I HIGHLY recommend Derrick to be your Realtor. You will not be disappointed. He has your best interests as #1 and knows the Indiana Realty codes inside and out. A great Realtor and a great person too. A great combination!
