The inch of water I received in my home earned a 29% "damaged" rating from the inspectors. At the age of 78, I decided I did not want to go through the rebuilding process as I would need flooring to replace my rugs, all new furniture, doors, a total redo of my lawn and pool as well as replacing my back porch which was ripped off by Hurricane Milton. I retained Lindsey Van Deilen to sell the home "as is". She suggested changes in how the home was presented and staged as I lost over half my furniture. She counseled me on the asking price since the home had lost quite a bit of value. There were quite a few "flippers" interested in the property making very low offers.
