She was part of the team that started me out when I was going to sell my condo and buy a stand alone home. I spent my adult life living from paycheck to paycheck which meant I never had my own home. But between retiring, having some major health issues and getting a bit of financial help from the family estate I had managed to buy a small condominium back in 2019. It taught me the basics of home owning. However in 2023 I wanted to move to a stand alone home and so had to learn new things again. Chassy was patient and helpful. She was willing to explain things to me that most people might have already known but I didn’t. She didn’t laugh at me when I asked questions, she answered them so I could understand. She had resources that were helpful too. I originally wanted to spend my last few years out in the green mountain state living in the mountains. But my lack of finances and Vermonts’ 1000 year flood kept me from moving out there. However I still wanted to live in an area that at least had bluffs. I was living in Cedar Rapids IA at the time. I ran across Clayton County Iowa because I was interested in Backbone State Park. I started looking for homes in McGregor, Strawberry Point, Elkader …. Chassy’s biggest help was her connections to Clayton County. Because of my health issues ,a friend had to drive me up to McGregor so I could tour a house I was looking at early on, but I ended up with a wonderful little house in Elkader. Her connections helped make it possible. I love my new home and soon I will have 2 new kittens to run through the place and it will be completely purrfect. Annora Mcdougall

Ron and Chassy were the absolute best! We were asked our specific likes and dislikes and they never became pushy or tried to talk us into anything we didn’t like or want! Always kept us updated about the process and made a super stressful experience for first time buyers SMOOTH and EASY! I can’t imagine the work that goes into purchasing a house but they took care of every single detail, while keeping us in the loop, and while taking care of their own family and we are so very grateful! I wish I could give Chassy more than 5 stars. We had many obstacles to overcome finding an affordable house in a specific school district. We have a large family and horses so this was quite the task. Chassy thought outside the box and came up with solutions to all our challenges. We found a home in the perfect location and couldn’t be happier. Chassy worked with her husband, Ron, to make sure all our needs were met. They are very knowledgeable, professional and had to put up with my husband’s humor and for that, they get even more accolades! They both worked very hard for us- we would recommend them to anyone looking to find their next home.

I cannot put into words how awesome Chassy is. We had major obstacles to overcome in finding an affordable property as we have horses and a large family. Chassy thought outside the box and offered solutions to all our obstacles. Super informative, ethical and professional. Chassy’s husband, Ron, works with her as well and was equally as wonderful. Ron and Chassy not only were realtors to me but became friends in our yearly search for a home. So many no’s but each one taught me what I did and didn’t like as we went on. They guided me through ins and outs of how houses work and what I would need to look out for even after I bought the home. No question or even time for that matter was an issue! Any question was answered and explained until I fully understood what was happening and anytime I saw a house available we jumped on it and looked soon as we could or late as I often worked late. Which was so appreciated to make themselves so available as this is my first home buying process and I was nervous about a lot of it. Chassy and her husband were so helpful in our move to the Cedar Rapids area. They kept looking for a property that would meet all our needs. When we finally found 920 Oak Park they did everything they could to make the move and transition to this area. They helped with the inspections and were there with us at the closing. Before we met Chassy and Ron we did our research online. What I could see Chassy was a grinder and had grit to get your property sold. After a meeting in person we hired them on the spot. Throughout this process and even during the timeframe on the market she was able to deliver assurances that proved true and sold our property in less than 3 weeks. With our move being hours away she was able to also recommend a local realtor and lender where we were moving to and couldn’t have been more happier from home shopping to closing. I challenged her with a sale with conditions that allowed a very limited buyer base. She reached out to her contact, then to contacts of her peers to bring in buyers. She advised the right price point and worked behind the scenes to enable the sale to go smoothly with a remote seller. Very satisfied with this experience.

When we started looking for a house, we had our eye on all the fun stuff... bedrooms and bathrooms, location and square feet... But we were moving from a hot, dry state with newer houses, and didn't know anything about Radon and Orangeburg, damp basements and a dozen other things. Chassy and Ron were there for us with all the details printed out for every location, for every question, and all the inside info at a moments notice. Their insights into the different areas and ages of the homes, construction and unique issues, were invaluable for our particular requirements trying to balance price and location, esp in a still-competitive market that caught us off guard. They were invaluable to our search to find the right home for us, and we'd highly recommend them as a better way to BUY that we didn't even know we needed!
