Due to age and other factors, I wanted to downsize and relocate closer to my daughter and grandchildren. My daughter saw a home close to her and recommended I use one of her friends, Deb Matthews, as an agent. I called Deb and we saw the house the next day. That evening, I put in an all-cash offer for the listing price. Unfortunately, the house was sold for more than asking. The seller used my offer as a proxy to get more than the asking price from one of his friends. Three months later, Deb called me with a similar house in the same neighborhood that was coming soon.
