My wife and I decided to move to Texas to be more central to family who live across the states and Mexico. Since our jobs are remote, we literally had the entire metroplex to choose from. In some ways this made it easier but in other ways it made it more difficult. Instead of searching out one or two cities, we all of them. Basically too many options. To make it more difficult, we were moving from out of state so our searches could only be done on the weekends.
