I just closed the sale on my father's house near Roseburg. My realtor for this was Aric Ott of the Mary Gilbert Group, and I can't say enough good things about his efforts. We (my brothers and I) first made contact with Aric in late 2025, as we had made the decision to sell the house after our father had passed away. Even though we had no plans to list until early summer or so, Aric became involved right away and generated a market value report, suggested some ideas to put a nice 'shine' on the house, and what to do and expect in the meantime prior to listing. Bear in mind that Dad's house was not a high-end property or anything fancy - it was a simple, clean, solid rambler in an older subdivision. Nonetheless, Aric treated the process - and us - like we were selling a lakefront mansion. In addition to the limitations of marketing a smaller, older home, neither myself nor my brothers live near Roseburg, so 95% of our transactions were done by phone or e-mail.
