Ruthie Ober recently handled the sale of my home following the death of my wife, and my purchase of a condominium. She also had previously handled the sale of my father’s home following his passing. Needless to say, this was a very difficult time, and I was in no mood to tolerate endless showings, or to entertain lowball offers indefinitely. I was fully prepared to blow the deal, but Ruthie wasn’t. She worked tirelessly, forced me to keep my eye on the ball and was a calming and thoughtful influence during a difficult negotiation. Could the deal have been more financially beneficial or the concessions less excessive? Who knows? Ruthie did exactly what I asked her to do and guided me skillfully through what was a painful period of my life. We closed on both the house and the condo on the same day allowing a seamless move. Melissa is the best person we could have had by our side during this whole process. She was available whenever we wanted to see a house and always honest about things that might be a concern, told us what to watch out for. As a first time buyer we really appreciated this. She even come over after we found our house and helped pull birds out of our attic that the people the seller hired to get rid of them has missed. If she’s still doing this in the next 5-10 years , she’ll be the one we go to when we upgrade. For now, I plan to recommend her to everyone I meet that needs a realtor.
