I first met Daniela over a decade ago when I was trying to rent my first apartment in Boston, and she was the landlord’s agent. What struck me in my interactions with her then was her moral compass. I’d be remiss, though, not to emphasize her support through the more emotional side of first-time homebuying. I think the intense fear, anxiety, and decision paralysis that can accompany the process of buying your first home is often not talked about. She was patient as she guided, but not push us, to consider what we wanted in our first home. I often joked with Daniela that she simultaneously served as a realtor and therapist throughout this process; there were many times I called her feeling overwhelmed, and without fail, she would listen with compassion and offer thoughtful advice. Even after closing, Daniela has continued to check in to make sure we are doing well, because she’s not in this business purely for the money, and she genuinely cares for her clients’ happiness. Daniela has a lifelong client in us, whether we buy, sell, or rent in the future.
