Going into my first-ever homebuying experience with zero idea what to expect could have been much more nerve-wracking if it weren't for the confident guidance from and representation by Allyn Anderson. It was during an intense market and I decided to move on the first place I looked at, with Allyn's correct assessment that it was, indeed, a good opportunity for me. Without going into much detail, the seller's agent was often difficult at best and shifty and testy at worst, but I only had to hear about those matters after Allyn already had contended with the agent until it was clear that some concession had to be made if we wanted things to progress. Due to my personal timeline, and budget after inspection and appraisal, it wasn't an option to keep searching. Plus there were more things to like about the place than not, so we followed through with the deal even though the other guy got his way in a few places he shouldn't have. Then, it was only upon my closing that the escrow agent casually mentioned that Allyn had purposely taken a financial hit himself (in lieu of the seller's honoring his signed inspection agreement) for the sake of closing my deal with the greatest degree of satisfaction possible under the circumstances. I was already impressed with Allyn overall before that, but that revelation just cast another light on him, and it's one I would think is not too common in his field. He's good at connecting with his clients on levels most professional and most human, and even from the first conversation, I knew that this sounded like someone I wanted to work with. If you're only thinking about it, I would recommend that you go ahead and have that first conversation with him as well, and I'm sure you'll be glad you did.
