Stan has been involved in all facets of real estate since 1972. His proven 50-year track record in custom home construction, land surveying, real estate, property management, and commercial leasing offers a wide-variety of experience to share with his valued clients. Combined with Stan’s experience in radio broadcasting, IT, and web site development, this gives him an extraordinary depth of business experience rarely found in real estate professionals today. Stan uses his real estate knowledge, people skills, business acumen, and, most importantly, his listening skills to serve his customers.
Stan began in the trades in the 1970s, building custom homes in Colorado as a carpenter where he learned the real estate business from the inside out. Communication was critical in determining homeowners’ wants versus needs. While working full time, he then finished his first college degree in land surveying. Stan worked with developers, public agencies, financial entities, and home builders. In fact, his work as a land surveyor brought him to Santa Barbara in 1984. 38 years later, Stan is still proud to call Santa Barbara home.
Stan transitioned from the trades into helping people realize their goals and dreams, and during the technology boom of the 1990s, Stan added tech to his skill set and returned to school where he studied IT and website development for two additional college degrees. All the while, Stan kept his hand in the real estate industry as a property owner/manager, writing and negotiating commercial leases, as well as property management for residential property.
Stan owes his successes throughout this 50-year career track to 3 things: his passion, his need to serve his clients, and his commitment to professional communication. Stan is passionate about Santa Barbara and the real estate business, especially the Mesa where he has owned his home for 34 years. Stan is a passionate musician as a guitar player, singer, songwriter, band leader, and flute player, both classical and jazz. He is also passionate about traveling, stargazing, mountain climbing, skiing, and, lastly, about his other hometown, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where he has owned a home for 17 years.
Stan is a seasoned veteran in the real estate world, as well as a professional student of life confirming the axiom, “Success is Not an Accident.”
