About SEAN

With a teaching certificate from Tulane University and M.Ed from UNO, I taught Economics and History for eight years in the New Orleans Public Schools. This path was upended when Hurricane Katrina forced the closure of the city’s public schools. Needing a source of income with my growing family, Realtor friends encourage me to join them as a real estate agent. Thought this was only a temporary career change till Booker T. Washington High School was rebuilt; yet, during the city's rebuilding years, I found those classroom skills opened up an exciting new path for me as a Realtor. Those teaching years proved to be quite helpful in guiding clients, thru research and action plans, as they turn their goals into reality. And, it's fun! incredibly generous with relocation support

Sean Gerowin was an exceptional partner throughout our home search and relocation to New Orleans. Beginning in 2025 and concluding in 2026, his patience was extraordinary, especially as we explored multiple neighborhoods and tried to understand the nuances of each. Sean has a deep, lived knowledge of NOLA and offered a clear, thoughtful framework for evaluating different areas based on lifestyle, architecture, flooding considerations, and long-term fit—not just price and inventory. Beyond the home search itself, he was incredibly generous with relocation support, helping us understand everything from neighborhoods and logistics to local realities we wouldn’t have known to ask about. At every step, Sean was steady, responsive, and deeply invested in helping us make the right decision, not just a fast one. We couldn’t imagine navigating this move without him and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Throughout the succession process of selling my father’s house, Sean was very communicative and insightful. Sean promptly answered calls and emails from my two siblings and myself, always keeping us informed about each new development. This was particularly important to me given the challenges of my brother living out of state and my sister’s health concerns. With Sean’s expertise and ability to clearly explain complicated contract details to us, we received three offers above the asking price 24 hours after it was listed. The sale moved forward swiftly and smoothly, and my siblings and I were very happy with the final outcome. It was a positive experience from start to finish working with Sean. Sean was very professional and helpful, and I will certainly recommend him as realtor to our friends and family in the future.

Sean has helped me buy two houses now

Sean has helped me buy two houses now

Sean has helped me buy two houses now. The first one was right after Katrina. I’d never bought a house before, but he made it feel manageable. It was exactly the neighborhood I wanted to be in, even though things were still pretty rough right after the storm. I loved the house the second I saw it. I still do. It’s been perfect for me.A couple years ago, I went back to Sean when I was ready to buy an investment property. The market had changed a lot since my first purchase, and Sean was great about walking me through all of it—what was new, what to expect, what to be careful about. He didn’t sugarcoat anything, which I appreciated. It helped me feel steady the whole way through. There were some intense negotiations on that second house. Sean got the price to exactly where I needed it. The seller was pushing for bond for deed, but Sean suggested owner financing instead—he explained why it was a safer route, and it definitely was. He even recommended a lawyer to draw up the loan terms. Sean also wrote up a lease for the tenant I was taking on in the sale. It felt like he was really looking out for me. Anytime I had a question, he got back to me right away. That kind of support made the whole thing feel less overwhelming. I’d absolutely trust him with any future sale or purchase.

Sean Gerowin is hands down the best realtor I've ever worked with

Sean Gerowin is hands down the best realtor I've ever worked with

Sean Gerowin is hands down the best realtor I've ever worked with. His knowledge and love of New Orleans history, culture and architecture added so much to our search and appreciation of the city. He encouraged us to take the time to explore many different neighborhoods and we never felt rushed or influenced to buy. Once we decided on a house, Sean was there for us every step of the way from negotiation to contracts , insurance, inspections and even post buy issues. I've had a lot of experience with real estate, but have never worked with an agent who so genuinely and effectively advocated for my purchase. I highly recommend Sean Gerowin.

Sean was immensely helpful in selling my house

Sean was immensely helpful in selling my house. His finger is certainly on the pulse of the local housing market, and he made me feel very comfortable in the process of setting a selling price and working through punch lists and counter offers. He even took a limited power of attorney to sign my closing documents due to the fact that I had moved to the UK. I would recommend Sean to anyone buying or selling a house in New Orleans.
