We worked with Scott through three seasons in 2023: late winter through mid-summer. We were in Chicago working with Scott via facetime for the majority of the time, making several trips to find a house in person. He is so knowledgeable about home architecture, design and improvement. His 20 plus years looking at homes professionally is apparent, and he always states, but I’m not an architect. His willingness to discuss any and all aspects of a home was so valuable, we learned a great deal about each house and what it would take to make it a home for us. We were so appreciative of his availability every weekend. He was responsive to what was important to us and quickly incorporated looking at and describing the new home conditions we viewed as important over time. Scott was everything we'd hoped for in an agent, and I recommend him with great enthusiasm. He was always responsive, generous with knowledge and tips that weren't always obvious or intuitive, professional, and a pleasure to be around. He has a keen eye for structural and other details about houses that we might have missed, Most crucially, Scott had a calm and candid presence when it was time for us to make an offer. We seriously considered three or four properties, and when it was time to approach the seller with a number, he helped guide us through this insane real estate market, where many properties are still going for many tens of thousands of dollars over asking price, with multiple offers, and similar complicating factors. Without years of real estate experience, we would've been paralyzed with uncertainty in this area, but Scott gave us the clarity we needed to put forth a responsible offer and to walk away with no regrets if we didn't get the house.
