Scott Dearnley is one of the most dedicated and committed real estate agents in Richmond. Scott is backed by Joyner Fine Properties, which has 3 offices in the Richmond area, and whose 150 sales associates are among the most highly productive in the state of Virginia. Scott began his professional career in the early 1990’s as a CPA with the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. After 6 years in public accounting, Scott moved into industry as an accounting Manager with Massey Energy Company. Scott’s wife, Nancy, is a managing member of Youngblood Properties LLC, a local builder/developer specializing in high-end homes in Richmond’s West End. Several years ago, she convinced Scott that real estate might be an exciting and dynamic alternative to his career in corporate accounting. That is when it all began and Scott has not looked back. He currently represents Youngblood Properties in their West End subdivisions. In addition, he works with buyers and sellers in Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, and Chesterfield. From market values to important local issues, Scott strives to know everything about the marketplace that surrounds your property. He diligently analyzes market conditions in order to price and position his clients’ homes to create maximum value. Actively marketing is the cornerstone of Scott’s success. He does not rely on passive activities such as the MLS system, signs in the yard, and newspaper advertising to get homes sold. Scott believes that communication is the key to meeting, and exceeding the expectations of his clients. Scott is a cum laude graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a degree in Economics and a student of William & Mary, where he received his Accounting degree. Outside of the office, family, pets (2 dogs and several cats), fishing, playing music, and tae kwon do keep him very busy. Scott's the man!

Scott has been fantastic to work with. He is very knowledgeable of the industry and the home values in the area. He has great contacts for painting, flooring, cabinet work, countertops, etc and was more than willing to connect me with his trusted vendors so that I could get my house in great shape to get the right sales price. Scott went the extra mile for me more than once throughout the process. I was selling my property but I live out of state and I relied on him greatly throughout the entire process. Whenever I had questions or needed something, he communicated with me quickly and often. He was great from the time I first contacted him all the way through closing. Scott knows how to get it done and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the greater Richmond area.
