My fiance proposed to me in August of 2020. Soon after that we started planning our wedding and at the same time thinking of where we would live after we got married. After getting out of the United States Marine Corps in 2018, my fiance like many other veterans struggled both financially and with his mental health. Due to some unforeseen circumstances my fiance was not given the resources to understand what benefits he was entitled to through the VA. After giving it much thought my fiance and I decided that we wanted to try and rent a home. After browsing on a couple of websites Sarah called us on a Sunday within one hour of our inquiry. She explained to us in detail that my fiance was eligible for a VA loan to buy a home which we had no idea we could do. Right off the bat Sarah was very informative. We loved that she wanted to make sure that we knew exactly how everything worked. She focused on educating us rather than just trying to sell us a home. After starting to view a few homes and getting our first 2 offers rejected Sarah quickly found out where the housing market was going. After searching for 5 months which was a lot faster than we expected, we finally got an offer accepted. We were thrilled to have been able to get accepted after so many failed ones that we forgot about the endless amount of stress leading up to closing escrow. Closing on this home was so very difficult at one point we both thought that we would fall out of escrow because we felt that everything was going south.
