One day I saw Rick on his hands and knees with a hand trowel digging out dirt from a ground level sub-building entry. I asked what he was doing. He responded that he was checking out sub-building ingress viability in order to verify the putative building inspector's future report of accessibility to the sub- building utilities and structural foundation.
