As a first-time buyer, we were hunting for our dream home in the San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena, South Pas, San Marino) during early 2021. It was a very competitive market due to the pandemic, and we made offers on 4 houses over the course of 3 months until we landed our dream home. It was a stressful period in our life and having Reni's guidance every step of the way was the ONLY reason we could still sleep well at night during those months. Making offers: Every time an offer was due, Reni would quickly compile her comparative analysis of the neighborhood and property. When we asked, she would give her professional and honest opinion of the house. Her insights were very helpful in guiding us to an initial offer that would make our bid stand out without overshooting and within our comfort zone. Bidding war: Reni was patient and always had our best interest in mind. You will need an agent like her who can stay calm, cool-headed and in-control in a hot market like this! We went into the second round of bidding for three of the properties we put an offer in for. In most of these situations, the market ended up pushing us outside of our comfort zone to the point that we felt uncomfortable continuing. Reni was always supportive of our decision and never pushed us to "go for it!”. Negotiating: With Reni's 35+ year experience in real estate, we were able to win the home of our dreams after only three unsuccessful bids. We were thrilled by some of the strategies that Reni put together to help us craft a winning bid on our favorite property. She also helped us create reasonable requests for repair that the seller accepted. Inspection & closing: We had a very long closing period and Reni stayed on top of everything perfectly. She helped us verify that our requested repairs were corrected and even re-corrected in some cases! Our closing happened smoothly and we were finally able to move into home after much anticipation.
