Almost simultaneous with our announcement to sell, our condo association announced a one-time fee equal to about 25% of the expected sale price and had arranged for individual mortgage support for all owners. My parents sold their home of 54 years this summer. Everyone warned us how exhausting, emotionally trying, and stressful the experience of leaving a longtime home would be. They were not wrong. However, our family could not have done it without the white-glove care, professionalism, and deep well of industry knowledge that Peter and Kathleen brought to this process. They truly cared about my parents and saw to every detail - at no additional cost to the seller. Peter singlehandedly organized the basement (with a half century's worth of stuff) into an open staging area while Kathleen patiently took my mother room by room to make the tough decisions about what to keep and what to give away or sell. Peter fixed things in the house, jobs too small to outsource but necessary to prepare a house for sale. They scheduled people to haul away junk and found antique dealers to come to the house.
