We moved from a house into an apartment with the hopes of building our dream home and then lumber prices happened. We changed plans and decided to try and buy a home in one of the most competitive housing markets in the country. (It seemed like everyone was willing to pay $50k to $100k over asking price!) After a couple of months of looking at houses, we finally found one that we really wanted.
