A little summary of our story - We were first time home buyers, while prices were sky rocketing and inventory was historically low (winter & spring 2021). We HAD to find somewhere to live by May (landlords were selling our unit), and the market was insane. There were plenty of homes we loved listed in our price range, but offers were coming in (on almost every property) 60-100k over asking, waving anything and everything they could in the contracts. We found ourselves unable to compete AT ALL, even with a sizable downpayment, excellent credit, and listings in our price range. It was disheartening, discouraging, and stressful. We went out for 4-6 hours almost every weekend for weeks on end, and put in an offer almost every week. We heard through the grapevine that some realtors were dropping clients like us (we were taking up a lot of time with no end/payday in sight). Neil stuck with us and did everything he could to get us in a home. He was positive and kept our moral up. He gave awesome little pep talks as needed, and really helped us feel like we were going to make it through this and end up in a home we loved. (And sure enough we did!) He also made sure we were finding any and all issues with the properties we were looking at. He mentioned a few things about some homes we missed, and they were great catches! He went the extra mile to build rapport with any agents that would be beneficial to our offer, and we felt like he put in 110% for us.
