This is the second house we have purchased through Melissa and our first time selling a home. Melissa not only took the time to explain each step along the way, but she also showed patience and compassion when making sure we ended up where we were suppose to be. We traveled all over Central Maine looking for homes and she was always on board and always so supportive. When we found the home that was meant to be she did everything to make sure it all worked out in the end. In the midst of our crazy lives with work and kids she was always accommodating us and even entertaining our crazy toddler. Helped us find contractors when the house needed repairs, she took the time out of her schedule to go open the home for the contractors, and she helped us find a landscaping person to take care of our property. Melissa helped us with the purchase of our second home at a time where we were initially very undecided about where we were looking for and where. She was endlessly patient, upbeat, and willing to go see any property in such a timely fashion. Once we found a home we loved, Melissa helped us negotiate to pay an incredibly fair price while also helping us make a comfortably competitive offer that eventually got accepted -- for a house that had incredible interest and multiple offers almost as soon as it went on the market! Melissa then smartly guided us through the inspection process (she has so many connections and was able to refer us to some other incredible professionals we worked with) and it was smooth sailing after that right through closing. Melissa was there with us through everything, even through a second pre-closing walk-through to make sure the house was truly vacant of objects before we went to closing and signed everything! Beyond Melissa's professionalism and her connections in the community, I think her greatest skill is her true care for her clients. Melissa called me a few nights after we closed on our house to check in and we chatted for probably a half an hour so I could update her on everything that had happened during our move-in weekend! That's Melissa: she works hard for her clients because she truly cares, not because she "has to" as your realtor. And that is why she has our highest (!) recommendation.
