She found us a property off market and did everything in her power to close the deal. She even talked us down from paying too much. My fiancé and I worked with Megan to buy a SFH in the highly competitive market of Arlington, VA in the Spring of 2014. The market at the time was very much a sellers' market. Megan blew us away with her talents and passion as our realtor. We spent most of our time communicating long distance (GA to VA) and were never left to feel brushed to the side. Megan answered all our emails almost immediately, kept that constant communication that every first time home buyer family is looking for, and that was just until we did our home search in person. Once we arrived from GA to look at homes on a limited week schedule, Megan went full force with us, keeping us on schedule, pointing out the important details in each home to consider, and moved fast on our needs. She not only kept us afloat with her information, she taught us everything we asked about and more when it came to this process. Megan helped us to buy our first home and did awesome job. She was great throughout the entire process! Considering that we were first time home buyers, we had no clue as to what to expect or how the process worked. She was patient, helpful, honest and always available (even if she was out of town). All of the paperwork was done electronically, which is a great time saver, especially when you want to make adjustments to an offer. Megan was absolutely great to work with, and we were very glad to have her as our agent, she brought really useful knowledge, experience, a positive tone, sound judgment, and a great understanding of realty transactions. Additionally, Megan was able to connect us to several key services (mortgage broker, home inspector, etc.) and they all proved to be wonderful as well - the people handling our mortgage paperwork were fantastic at keeping in constant contact and updating us while keeping things moving with escrow and the bank. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Megan to anyone.
Megan was our agent when we purchased our home in Arlington VA in 2011. She gave excellent guidance all through the process. I'm still grateful for her cautioning us not to overpay on the first home we put a bid on (my wife and I got a bit carried away), and instead she helped us find another home that we ended up liking even more. This was excellent proof that she worked in our best interests, as opposed to someone just looking to earn a commission. Even more important were her skills during the purchase process. She negotiated us an excellent deal on the property, referred us to a second lender than ended up offering us a lower mortgage rate, and also arranged for a very thorough inspection that made us rest easy.
