My family purchased a home from Grace Allen Homes earlier this year and we couldn't be more happy with our experience. Mike and Mary were phenomenal to work with. We were in a hurry to close and they did everything on their end to make it happen. We are also extremely satisfied with the home they built. The attention to detail and quality of the home was very apparent as soon as we walked into the home. After living in the home for 6 + months, we can still say we would highly recommend Grace Allen Homes for anyone looking to buy or build a new home in the Des Moines area.

Our journey with Grace Allen Homes started in the summer of ‘23 when we were contemplating an out of state move. We researched many home builders in the DSM area and loved their unique details incorporated into their plans. We also did not want a cookie cutter home that was slapped together in a couple of months. We wanted a builder who believes in attention to detail and craftsmanship. Grace Allen Homes checks all the boxes. Mike Foust (owner) takes pride in his homes, and it shows in the quality and workmanship. Mary Davis was fantastic to work with as she helped us find a great lot and she weathered through our countless questions since we were communicating from one state to another. She walked us through each step of the homebuilding process with patience and never hesitated to explain things when we had questions. They were also very accommodating when we requested custom changes to the plan. Since we were not in the DSM area when the house was being built, Mike and Mary kept us abreast with constant updates that included pictures and videos. They explained their process so that there were no surprises, and the home was completed right on schedule. We recently moved into our home, and we could not be happier. It is perfect! The quality of the construction is outstanding. We ran into a small electrical issue after we moved in, and Mike and Mary sent someone out the next day to fix it. We moved from another state where we lived in a home for 23 years. It was very hard to leave but knowing that our new home was built with great craftsmanship made the transition a lot easier since we didn’t have to worry about what we were walking into. We cannot recommend Grace Allen Homes enough; they are the best! Thank you, Mike and Mary, for helping us build our perfect home!

We had the opportunity to work with Mary while finding the perfect lot for our new construction home. After we found the lot, Mary went to work doing behind-the-scenes phone calls, paperwork, and getting us all information needed to ensure the lot was exactly what we wanted. With being first time builders, we had lots of questions regarding the process. Mary answered all the do’s and don’ts and would proactively provide us information – which made us feeling like we were walking through this process with someone who had our best interest at heart.
