My daughter and I regret working Marcus. I’ve worked with other realtors in the past that really helped to make this process a special milestone in my life. But my daughter wanted to use him because my son bought a home with him. However, Marcus seemed to not want to be bothered through out most of the process. The houses he sent for us to review were a mess. The type of homes most people would never think to look at unless they were into rehab. Thank God for Redfin. Offen times when we reached out to him, he either took his time to respond or we got no response. For the home inspection he sent someone else in his place without asking if this was ok with us. He didn’t even bother to notifying us until we basically arrived at the property. For the final walkthrough, we called and texted him to ask when we would walkthrough. We didn’t hear back from him until ten minutes to closing . He stayed he was at the property doing the walkthrough. Only to find that someone else was doing our walkthrough. Overall I found his behavior disrespectful. Mostly people would probably read this and assume that maybe we were difficult to deal with. If this is your assumption, you would be wrong.

We first met Marcus 8 years ago when we were looking for a house to rent and he was so helpful, honoring our search as if we were buying a home. When it was time to buy we contacted him and we had lots of questions. He is so knowledgeable about real estate and mortgages and interest rates, and he always has “a guy”. We used his recommendation on a mortgage lender who gave us better information and was more detailed than the lender we were going to use. His recommendation on a home inspector was extremely thorough. Marcus gave us all the attention we needed even while recovering from knee surgery! When helping us decide on an offer price, he gave us solid advice and when we had a small hiccup from the seller day of closing, he handled it so we wouldn’t have a delay in our closing.
