About Leanna

"Experience the Magic of Living on the Big Island" I am one of the Big Island’s most dedicated real estate professionals and my extensive knowledge of the island’s market allows my clients to realize their dreams of living in Hawai'i. I am also incredibly proud to be part of our Flem Family Team, where together with my husband and daughter, we use our collective expertise and shared values as a family to enhance the service we provide. I was born in Van Nuys, CA and moved to Oahu in 1976, where I worked at the Rose & Crown Pub. It was there that I met my husband, Daryl, who I’ve been married to for 41 years! Daryl and I started our own restaurant back in 1993, building it up to become an amazing business where we made lifelong friends that we enjoy great food with to this day. At that point, I knew working for myself was something I loved. Daryl and I moved our family to Hawai’i Island in 2000 and we’ve called the Big Island home ever since. In 2003, I got my real estate license and joined Daryl in a great new career. Together we have closed over 325 transactions with a combined value of more than $250M. It was also only a matter of time before our daughter Laura would decide to join us, having been around real estate for most of her life. Now we benefit from her unique insight as someone who has grown up on the Big Island and knows it inside and out. Together, the three of us make a great team! I specialize in real estate from Kohala to the Kona Coast, with an emphasis on the private community and resort market. From golf course condos to beachfront homes. From vacation properties to year-round estates. And I’ve worked together with Daryl on several high dollar sales at Kolea and Kohanaiki, to name a few. And while I love working in the resort and luxury market, finding that perfect “first home” for my clients is definitely one of the greatest accomplishments, personally and professionally. There’s no better feeling than seeing a buyer’s excitement when they purchase their first home! Why Hawai’i Life? Having such a wonderful team allows me to provide a level of service to my clients that is unmatched. Daryl and I reside in the Kailua-Kona area. We have two wonderful children and three amazing grandkids who I just adore. Our son, Daryn, and his wife, Andrea, live with their kids in San Luis Obispo in CA, where my son has a landscape business called Avila Ridge Landscaping. Our daughter, Laura, is also a Hawai’i Life Realtor on the Big Island, working together with Daryl and I. I LOVE the Hawai’i way of life and all that it offers: The outdoors, bodysurfing, the beach - I just can’t get enough of it. Golf is another passion of mine and I try to get out on the course at least once a week. If the beach and golf isn’t enough, I also enjoy great food with amazing friends, and a little gardening.
