About Noelani

I was raised in Waimea on the Big Island and graduated from Honokaa high school. I started my career in Real Estate at the age of 20, working for a local mortgage broker here in town. Starting as a temporary receptionist, I was quickly hired full time and learned the entire mortgage business from origination to closing. I loved helping families build their dream homes and specialized in land and construction loans. I built my first home at the age of 22 and another at age 26. After the market crashed in 2009, I shifted gears and started my own cleaning company, cleaning vacation rentals in the Puako area. After working with the property managers, handymen, landscapers, guests and homeowners, it organically happened that I started to manage my own vacation rentals. In 2017, I decided to get my real estate sales license and bring all my experience together. I've found my knowledge and background has helped me provide high quality service to my clientele. I raised two beautiful children here, where we all enjoy paddling for Kawaihae Canoe Club. I love the ocean and all it provides. About Beth Thoma

I was one of the first agents to join Hawaii Life on the Big Island in 2009. After just one conversation with the founders, I knew Iʻd just seen the future of real estate, a future that was customer-oriented rather than agent-oriented. I represent both buyers and sellers of first-class Big Island properties, from the Kohala Coast resorts to upcountry ranches and horse properties. Additionally, I was named Broker-in-Charge in 2015. In 2018 I was asked to become Hawaii Lifeʻs Director of Conservation and Legacy Lands. In this position I lead the firmʻs efforts as a resource for owners and sellers of properties with conservation values state-wide. The goal is to generate awareness for the role that conservation plays in Hawai’i's future and leverage the Hawaii Life platform on behalf of conservation-minded sellers and buyers of real estate. I serve on the State Legacy Land Conservation Commission and as a Board member of Hawaiʻi Land Trust and the Kohala Community Land Trust. I bring a unique skill set to the leadership roles. After receiving a B.A. degree in mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Ph.D. in Economics from Colorado School of Mines, I spent more than a decade working around the world as a Wall Street banker. I then ran consulting and leadership development businesses prior to my real estate career. All these roles present a wonderful challenge for someone with an analytical mind and a love of the outdoors. My all time, absolute FAVORITE realtor!

This format limits reviews to 2,000 characters, and even that wouldn’t be nearly enough to capture everything that makes Maria Acatrinei my favorite realtor of all time. In my 74 years I’ve worked with more real estate agents than I can count, yet Maria stands head and shoulders above every single one of them—honestly. She is incredibly competent, razor-sharp smart, warm, and genuinely personable. She’s also deeply intuitive and knowledgeable, the kind of professional who truly listens, never pushes her own agenda, and is completely driven by her client’s goals. Professional and an expert agent

It was super helpful for me to work with Maria. She knew everyone in the industry to help me buy my first home in Hawaii. I usually like to be hands on, but it’s much easier to know you can trust someone else to get the job done. I quickly learned to let Maria’s experience to lead me to a great home.
