I was a seller for the property listed. It was owned by 3 people and we listed it together. My sister and I lived on the property and dealt with Koshy directly throughout the process. We were first time sellers on the market, and we were hoping for a better experience from our real estate agent. 1.) Inadequate communication skills There are many instances where he did a poor job relaying information to us as sellers. At times he would not explain terms or conditions to accept offers from buyers. For example, when we received our first offer on the house, he assumed that we knew the terms and conditions of the offer. We struggled to understand the terms with minimal help from him. 2.) Does not support his clients. He made more attempts to accommodate the buyers than us. As we were negotiating the price with potential buyers, he seemed more interested in lowering the price for their advantage, rather than a price that was fair to the value of the home. He claimed that our home was in poor condition, and the value of the home depreciated in a few months on the market, even below the appraised value. 3.)Unprofessional He was rude on many occasions and was not open to ideas that didn't come from him. The way he spoke to us at times was demeaning. He would even question why we asked certain questions or shared our thoughts on how we wanted to handle the listing. 4.) Poor Reputation We required work that needed to be done on the house. Koshy did help us find contractors. When contractors came to their appointments they had no past experience working with him. Their quotes were unreasonable. We eventually had to ask other people for referrals to get the work done on the house. We would NOT recommend working with Koshy.
