About Me
Kay Carmer bought her home in Vero Beach in 1997 after a diligent and extended low- tech search. Connecting with a local buyer’s agent made all the difference when over three days, she found her forever home. Having living for years in Pacific Beach and La Jolla, California, she found Central Beach to be the perfect beach side neighborhood. Later her work in restaurant technology sales afforded her the opportunity to add a few more beaches to her history, with Seal Beach (oceanfront condo), Long Beach (60’s highrise with amazing city and ocean views), and Newport Beach (blocks from a beautiful nature preserve). Her multiple personal buyer’s side experiences, as well as those with friends and family inform her sensitivity to the needs of buyers and just what a difference a good agent makes.
Kay Carmer attended the University of Denver and San Diego State University, earning a Business Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Admin and an MBA in Marketing. Her career in sales afforded the opportunity to travel extensively, most of the time in slower motion, savoring the sites she visited like a tourist.
When temporarily relocating to Seal Beach in 2008, she found the perfect, funky beach town Airbnb and it inspired her to a new goal, purchasing, furnishing and managing her own vacation rentals. Since 2016 she and her husband have bought and improved four short term rentals, in the Cultural Arts District, Original Town and Lake Park. That experience broadened her knowledge of Vero’s unique and special neighborhoods. In addition, since almost everyone that experiences the Treasure Coast falls in love with it, she found that she really wanted to be able to help others find their perfect Indian River County home. Joining Keller Williams makes that possible.
Kay Carmer is married and lives in Central Beach. She spends her free time playing pickleball, swimming in the ocean and traveling between Vero beach and her VRBO in Algoma, Wisconsin, the perfect lakeside small town.
