But what impressed me most was the rational and level-headed approach she took to helping me buy a home. I purchased a house during the Spring in the hyper competitive Del Ray/Potomac Yard market--an area in which it's so easy to get swept away in bidding wars, paying way more than a house is worth just to "win it." Katie was a great resource to bring me back down to earth and make sure I didn't overpay for a home, even though that meant sacrificing a sale and its commission. It was that sense of integrity and putting my best interests first that made me completely trust her judgment and guidance. She's also incredibly knowledgable, super responsive (I got responses to all my emails, text, calls within 20 mins--and there were a lot!) and moves quickly. Katie was excellent to work with as a first-time homebuyer. Very low pressure and realistic which is exactly my cup of tea.
