About Katherine

Growing up in a family that moved around every few years, Katherine knows the importance of finding a special place to call home. Due to living in multiple cities during her childhood, Katherine's approach to business has been molded by loyalty, adaptability, care, and attention to detail, which will ensure a smooth and positive experience for all who work with her. Katherine went to Auburn University where she served in multiple positions in her sorority, ultimately becoming president of ADPi. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Nutrition and Dietetics then completed her Master's in Health Sciences at Georgia State University. After living in Atlanta, she moved to Birmingham where she started a career in corporate wellness as a Registered Dietitian. While Katherine remains connected in the nutrition world, she began her career in real estate because of her love of forming relationships with people and helping others find their dream home. Katherine is married to Taylor Sims, who is the Director of Operations at Acorn Building, a custom home builder in the Birmingham area. They have two sons and live in Vestavia. Aside from her real estate career, Katherine loves entertaining friends in her home, riding on the Peloton and exploring the Birmingham restaurant scene.
