Joy was very knowledgeable, professional and reliable as a realtor. Practically from the moment we met I just knew I was going to have a good experience listing my house to sell in Lexington. I was so wrong, but only from the standpoint of it being a good experience because it was a GREAT experience. She is very much a people person, so easy to talk to, and kept me informed each and every step of the way. Now, we did have a small number of issues to work through (does any listing not have at least a few minor issues along the way) but that is where Joy is at her best. She was so responsive and flexible and willing to work the problem any way I saw fit that I was never worried in the slightest about the sale of my residence. She went out of her way, both figuratively and literally, more than once during the process and I cannot express my appreciation enough for the wonderful job she did. Because she and I both love to talk, and because we shared so much about ourselves during the process Joy feels like part of the family now, not just my realtor. I will definitely be contacting her in the future to assist with my realty needs and could not give her a higher recommendation. I have debated whether and/or how to say the following but, knowing that Joy now understands how I think, I’m just going to say it: if you have a bad experience working with Joy then it’s your fault and, not hers.
Joy listed our home the last week of April and it sold in one week. She showed up to our listing appointment armed with a market analysis and plenty of information to decide on a list price. Joy is professional, extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. She navigated a couple of things that came up with our buyers with expertise and quickly found solutions. Being a first time home buyer I was not very knowledgeable of the entire process of home buying. Joy was an excellent agent and an incredible resource every time I had questions or needed more information. She seemed to always be available and ready to help when needed. We were able to purchase the perfect house after having a few that fell through but not because of any mishap from Joy. The third time was a charm in this case and she actually protected us quite a bit from previous properties making sure we weren't stuck in a deal.
