My husband and I started working with John during the beginning of 2020. As first time homebuyers, John was extremely patient with us and took the time to walk us through all the details that we needed to know (from the loan process, writing an offer, negotiations, etc.). John was also extremely realistic to us with expectations, understood our budget and really showed us great houses that met our goals. From the get go, John asked lots of questions to understand what we were looking for to make sure the process went smoothly. He guided us with his advice but never was pushy, which was something I really appreciated. John was extremely communicative and always kept us both in the loop during the offer process. He was always available when we had questions. Obviously during COVID, our home buying process slowed down a bit as there was less hitting the market but John was always ready and available to show us a great house. While negotiating on our house, John was extremely helpful with ideas and different levers to pull to get the offer closed. We closed a couple weeks ago on a home in Pleasant Hill and could not be more excited! We would definitely recommend John to anyone looking for a positive and fantastic home buying experience!

John was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He helped us through the process of submitting an off-market offer and couldn't have been more responsive. From writing the offer to scheduling inspections and negotiating during escrow, I couldn't have asked for anything else from John to make the process of buying a home any easier.

John was amazing. We couldn't have asked for more from an agent. He consistently went above and beyond. From taking measurements of rooms for us to helping us track down building code requirements to suggesting we come back at night to check out light pollution, he was there to support us in our search. Throughout the process, it was very clear that he didn't just want to sell us a house, he wanted us to find the right home. Several times he advised us to take an action that ultimately led us to walk away from a deal we were ready to pursue (example being to return to the house to check out the light pollution after dark). In other cases he pointed out issues we would never have considered. He wisely counseled us on negotiations. In one case, we made an offer over asking, and in another, we made an offer below list. In both cases, his negotiating advice proved spot on. Being new to the area, his insight into Lamorinda was invaluable. Having grown up here, John is familiar with all the neighborhoods and even personally knew some of the families selling houses. We feel we received insight well beyond the typical "great neighborhood ,great schools" speech given by most agents. But most of all, it was John's personality. He was extremely easy to work with. He was positive and easy going from the first day to the last. During the long search, he was always patient, but when it came to make an offer, he moved aggressively. He was empathetic in the right moments. Even our young daughters, who didn't particularly enjoy looking at houses every weekend, loved working with him.
