I was looking for a second, investment home in Orlando, when I found Jim. Living in my Miami, my knowledge of the Orlando market was meager. The only information I had came from online sources, and this is never sufficient. Regardless, I selected an area and stubbornly decided to begin making offers there. I called Jim. Just on the first talk, it was obvious the area I had selected was a mistake. Jim was impressively knowledgeable and steered me away from a potential bad investment. His ‘boots-on-the-ground’ knowledge made me realize the importance of having someone local to area with investing experience. Jim himself being an investor. Subsequently, he helped me select a more ‘safe’ area (lower investment risk). Worked out several deals with the sellers that worked in my favor, provided me with contacts for contractors, roofers, lenders, title companies, etc. Basically helped me build a team. And after all this, only on our second offer, I closed on my first investment property. I recommend Jim for all the above reasons but also because he is a great realtor and better person.
