Jessica Teuthorn’s journey from the equine profession to real estate is as unique as it is inspiring. Her transition began six years ago, after witnessing the intricate world of buying and selling luxury horse farms. Rather than continue managing farms, Teuthorn, influenced by her mother, a CEO of a staging company, and her father, a seasoned investor and landlord, felt a natural pull toward real estate.
A move to the city and the onset of the pandemic shifted Teuthorn’s focus from rural estates to North Side urban properties. During the business slowdown, she meticulously explored neighborhoods and buildings, eventually expanding her expertise to the South Side by helping investors locate ideal flip opportunities. This hands-on experience honed her skills in construction, developed her keen eye for structural detail assessment and helped her master locating “good pockets” for investment.
Today, Teuthorn is a Certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert, a Pricing Strategy Advisor, an Accredited Buyer Representative and a Seller Representative Specialist. As a top producer for Keller Williams ONEChicago and a member of KW’s Young Professionals and Luxury Committee, she’s known as both a “guru” and a “dream to work with” by her clients. Her clients appreciate her patience and white-glove level of service.
Teuthorn encourages clients to connect with her early to prepare for the market both financially and mentally before they jump in. She prioritizes education and transparency, even if it means delivering tough news. “Because of my experience working with investors and property flips, there’s a lot I notice about a home and its condition that my clients don’t typically see,” she explains.
Beyond her professional life, Teuthorn remains passionate about horses and visits her family’s farm as much as possible. She also enjoys swimming, yoga and live music. Her passion for real estate and interior design truly blends into her personal life.
