Jen Ward was our realtor for the purchase and sale of our first home. Being a first time home buyer can be extremely overwhelming, but Jen walked us through every detail of the process. She is extremely organized and responsive; keeping a spreadsheet of our ‘must do’s’ with dates and details as needed. Jen is very knowledgeable of what to look for in a home, but listens closely to her clients to find the perfect fit. We were new to the east coast (and Baltimore area) and she spent a lot of time with us to help narrow down neighborhoods and learn what was important to us. Jen also stepped up to the challenge of taking on new home buyers who are constantly on the road. She kept track of all of our deadlines, provided great recommendations for quick/reliable inspections and repairs, and was by our side through every up and down in the buying and selling process. Jen Ward is the total package! From start to finish, we were really impressed with Jen's knowledge, transparency, commitment/dedication, and thoroughness. To describe in greater detail, Jen met with us from the very start (buyer's meeting) to explain every step in the process and how we could prepare ourselves for success. Along the way, Jen sent information to us that was very helpful (such as detailed e-mails that we could use as a checklist). One of my favorite things about Jen (even though there are too many to count) is her ability to explain things in great detail but keep the process as streamlined as possible. Another one of my favorite things is Jen's recommendations. She always had solid recommendations FOR EVERYTHING, and her recommendations were always A++ quality. Jen is amazing! She stuck with us over a 2 year period to get our rental property sold. Jen is a great real estate agent for many reasons. She is proactive and learns about your needs and wants in a new home with every showing. She listens to your concerns and gets you the information you need to make informed decisions. She doesn't try to sway your opinion on a property. We wanted to find a house with "good bones" and mostly "move-in" ready, but didn't need to have the most shiny, updated features. She was responsive to that and made sure to help us understand the features of a house when we looked at them. Jen is very patient too, willing to answer all of my questions, multiple times! She made sure to involve all family members when talking to us about the house. It was a joy to have Jen as our agent, especially when house hunting in this "insane" market. She kept us sane and had a great outlook on the situation. I plan on recommending her to friends and co-workers and if we need to sell or buy in the future, I will choose Jen again.
My wife and I worked with Jen Ward between May and July of 2020 to purchase a home in the Lutherville Timonium area of Baltimore County. Jen came to us highly recommended by our friends who also worked with her, and I am certain she exceeded our expectations. Although this was the first time I have purchased a home with a realtor, I have worked with other realtors before, and Jen proved to be the most responsive and supportive. One of the best experiences we had working with Jen was that she was accessible and she did not mind taking us to new listings as soon as they became available. In some cases, she was able to get us to the property the same day that it came on the market. She has a sense of urgency and priorities that make her clients feel heard and important. As a realtor, Jen helped us find our home by working with us and understanding what we were looking for in a house through seeing over a dozen properties together. She not only considered what we told her we were looking for but also our responses to seeing properties to ultimately guide us back to a home that my wife and I previously had dismissed without touring. In the end, she was exactly right about it being a good fit for us, and we could not be any happier about her suggestion to see it. Jen is generally incredibly thoughtful and considerate of your experience as a home buyer, and her years of experience serve her clients well. For instance, without any request from my wife or I, Jen provided us with a copy of the owner's instructions for the keypad lock to our new house so that we could change the combination and feel more secure in our new home. She also continues to check in on us and has made several helpful recommendations with contractors to help us get projects done. We are so happy in our new home that I envision we will not leave for a very long time, but we will most assuredly recommend Jen to anyone we learn is looking to buy or sell a home.
Jen was very helpful from the very beginning of the selling process. She was able to tell me what upgrades would provide a fresh up-to-date look for the house without breaking the budget. She was always available to answer questions and provide insightful information during the selling process.
