She answered a call to view a property on a Saturday. She came out and ended up showing me a few homes that day. I was unprepared and she helped me with someone to get me prequalified. Finding a new home and moving is a daunting enough task, let alone from 2000 miles away. Jennifer Bettencourt's name was provided by my cousin, a realtor in Nevada, after discussing my moving plans within her circle of real estate professionals, so I felt better going into this knowing that she was being recommended by her peers. It started with a phone call during which she explained the entire process. She was very professional, yet caring and understanding of what we were taking on. She discussed our "wants and needs" for our new home, and began sending us listings of appropriate properties. The website used allowed us to leave comments or ask questions about specific homes and add/designate favorites or remove homes from the list. She read all of our comments, provided timely answers to our questions, and gleaned a greater understanding of what we were looking for through the process. Not knowing the area, we did not have a selection for title company, lender, or inspector. She provided us referrals (all of whom were excellent). Not always knowing the right questions to ask initially, we learned quickly that we could rely on her expertise to keep us informed. We made "home hunting" trips to the area and she scheduled viewings such that we were able to make the most of our time, without lengthy lulls between homes. While viewing, she explained some differences with homes and life in Arizona that we might not have experienced while living in the midwest. Additionally, she pointed out any items that could be potential concerns as we toured each home. Once we identified a "forever home" she again explained the process, from offer to final walkthrough, prepared all of the paperwork needed for each step, and made sure that all timelines were met. There were also changes to real estate laws taking place in the midst of our process, but we never experienced a hiccup. As we drove, she even pointed out great restaurants, unique shops, and "best places for...."
Jennifer was a god send during our relocation from Utah. Her commitment to us was above and beyond. Being out of state she would face time us properties. We were struggling being on the same page with what we wanted and she was so patient with us until we found the right house for us both. She got to know our likes and dislikes and we were able to find the perfect compromise. Her response time with questions is the best. We feel so lucky to have found her.
