I recently sold my home of over 50 years using Jim as my Realtor. I gave him a challenge. My home needed many repairs and updating, but I had already moved and I was coming close to the deadline to qualify for a transfer of my tax base to my new home. Jim helped me to clean out and clean up the home to get it ready to sell as soon as possible. Once we put it on the market, we had a dozen offers, almost all way above asking price. We selected an offer and went into escrow within a week. Unfortunately, the buyers backed out due to the extent of the repairs needed on my home. Jim knew that the clock was ticking. He immediately contacted the agents of all the other buyers that had made offers. He was able to secure an offer that was 40,000 above my asking price, even higher than the original offer we accepted! He ensured that the buyers were fully aware of the condition of the home so that this would not be an issue going forward. Ultimately, these buyers only asked for a very small amount for repairs. A week before we were supposed to complete the sale, it looked like I might not meet my tax deadline due to a delay on the part of the buyers. I was in a panic! If I missed the deadline, I would be paying thousands of dollars a year more in property taxes. Jim, his broker and the escrow company immediately pulled out all the stops. By going way above and beyond, we were able to close in time! Jim is a great negotiator and walks you every step of the transaction. He will work very hard to ensure that you have a great outcome. I highly recommend using Jim as your Realtor!
